“Let’s turn sharp into round, dark into light, metal into something more fluid. The JORDAN ARTISAN –series emerged out of turning materials into clean but raw design. Handmade and adding the unexpected tot create contemporary collectible design”
Jordan Artisan his atelier is based in ‘De Honig’, an old soup factory in Nijmegen. His place renders an overview of all the different products and projects he’s done the last ten years. Next to space to calmly take place behind the drawing table, or studying the works of materials. More often though, you’ll find Jordan in the metal workshop. In here there is room for big, raw and rough industrial work: cutting, grinding and welding. The industrial surroundings of the Honig Factory with his mysterious places and run down installations inspire him. The workshop is filled with different kind of machines, inviting to experiment. At the same time, Jordan his work is also filled with detail, and craftsmanship. At home, underneath the kitchen lamp, he can lose himself in crafting wall panels.
